OSTC provides several scholarship opportunities for our students.
Michigan Career Placement Association Scholarship
The Michigan Career Placement Association provides services to professionals hosting students involved with work-based learning experiences. The association has established a scholarship to recognize and reward a graduating senior that has demonstrated extraordinary efforts and realized success from placement in a work-based learning opportunity.
Oakland Community College Chancellor's Scholarship
The Oakland Community College Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded to one senior enrolled at each OSTC. The award is for $2,500 and is to be used for the first academic year following the student's high school graduation. Recipients must attend Oakland Community College at least full-time (12 credit hours minimum) for both fall and winter semesters.
Oakland County Technical Education Association awards 2 scholarships to graduating seniors that participated in a Career and Technical Education Program. Eligibility requires a 2.0 grade point average.
Tom Cain Scholarship
The Tom Cain Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors enrolled at OSTC. This scholarship rewards students based on the quality of a written essay in combination with teacher and counselor recommendations.
Scholarship for Success
Formerly awarded as "Tomorrow's Talent, Today", Oakland Schools and DENSO International fund scholarships for students attending Oakland Schools Technical Campuses. Scholarships awards range between $500 and $7,500 and will apply to the 2017-2018 school year. Scholarships awards are based on interest and participation in Career Technical Education, academic achievement, and career goals. Students who are awarded a scholarship with be honored on February 26, 2018 at an award breakfast held at Oakland Schools.
